Jim Staas, 76, of Winnemucca, Nevada passed away on October 7, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. 
Jim was born July 17, 1940 in Ely, Nevada to Hank and Maud Staas.
Jim enjoyed traveling, reading, and watching sports. He loved to visit and share stories of his life with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his dear friend and companion, Linda Beebie; his son, Jim Staas; grandsons, Nick, Tyler and Michel Staas; numerous great grandchildren; other relatives and numerous friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his loving wife, July (Heinz) Staas and his parents.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Fallon Cemetery.
