Bernice Heninger Blackham (pronounced “Bernuss” to those who knew her!) returned to her Heavenly Home on May 2, 2018. She was 92 years young and had a love for life and a passion for horses and the mountains and valleys of White Pine County.
Bernice was born and raised in the beautiful wheat fields of Southern Alberta Canada. Her parents Wilford and Mabel (King) Heninger welcomed this bright-eyed girl into the family on November 1st 1926. She has six siblings (four Brothers and 2 Sisters) and is survived by her youngest Brother Richard Henninger of Provo Utah, her 12 spectacular Grandchildren and 25 cherished Great grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her Parents, loving husband Max and her son Brent Blackham.
Bernice left her home in Raymond Alberta to finish high school in the states (Provo, Utah) where she met and fell head over heels for her husband Max. They later married and raised four children, Bradley (Jollene Wright) Blackham of Tooele, UT. Max Brent Blackham (deceased) of Las Vegas NV. Kathleen Blackham of McGill NV. and Mary Blackham Perez of St.George UT.
Max finished school at Utah State University in Logan Utah, upon graduation they returned to Nevada making their home in McGill. Bernice was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she and Max were sealed in the Manti, Utah Temple November 1st 1980.
Bernice was a compassionate woman who always looked out for others, she served in many Church callings, was a wonderful teacher and mentor, she helped strengthen and encourage those around her. She was fiercely independent and loved to travel, ride horses, camp, cook, and drive her car….. Fast! She will be greatly missed, she is loved by many.
Graveside Services will be held at the Moroni City Cemetery in Moroni, Utah at 1:00 p.m. (Note: Utah time) Wednesday, May 9, 2018 All are welcome to attend.
