Jack Allen Burns of Ely, Nevada passed away April 10, 2019. He was born March 8, 1939 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to Harold and Virginia Burns.
Jack moved to Ely with his family and attended White Pine High. He was a machinist for Kennecott Copper Corporation for 27 years as well as a truck driver for Standard Market, Norcross Trucking, and H & R Propane. Jack loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting, fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles with his family and friends. He also enjoyed building and flying radio-controlled airplanes.
Jack is survived by his children: Mark (wife Pam) of Reno; Jackie (husband Joey) of Sparks; and son Lance of Ely. He loved spending time with his six grandchildren: Amber, Allison, Emily, Kami Jo, Thomas, and Joshua. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Patricia Fabricius and Judy Burns, grandchildren Kassie Jo and Brad Allen Burns, and his wife Mary Burns.
