Eleanor Dickenson (Cohen/Godon), 1939-2016, passed on from this physical existence on May 29, 2016.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters; Krissie (and husband Don) and Leann (and husband Doug) and her grandchildren; Micah Hoogeveen and Alexis and Sydney Lindsey as well as her brothers; Rolf and Andrew Godon.
Ellie also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends from near and far. Her husband, Bob, passed some two months prior. Ellie had spent the last six months of her life at Stone Valley Alzheimer’s care center in Reno, where she was loved and well cared for. A sudden and severe stoke triggered her exit.
We all knew Ellie as a gregarious, vivacious and energetic woman. She loved sharing with others, a trait that continued till the end. She was a voracious reader and an energetic hiker.
She loved to travel and did a great deal of that throughout her life. She loved the Moorman Ranch near Ely, Nev., where she and Bob lived for many years. She savored the dogs, cats and chickens and would take long hikes into the high desert mountains nestling around the ranch.
We miss Ellie dearly and hold her memory deeply within our hearts. A family celebration was held in her honor.
