With heavy hearts we are sad to announce the passing of Anna Lee Cates in the early morning of January 11, 2025.
Anna was born on July 26, 1955 to Rosella & Burley Hargrove in Ely Nevada. She grew up in McGill, NV and would go on to marry Don, her high school sweetheart, on June 14, 1973.
Anna would spend her life devoted to caring for her family and helping others. She had a deep heartfelt appreciation for Bible truths and a zeal to share these with others. Even while fighting a debilitating illness, Anna would look for opportunities to share her faith by encouraging doctors, nurses, friends and family.
Anna will be remembered for her love of people and travel. This was exemplified by her years of volunteer construction work throughout the country, her thoughtful homemade cards and creative poems. Anna, along with her husband Don, traveled the globe making close friends. She cherished these journeys and friendships through her artistic passion of photography.
She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Don Cates; her two sons and daughters in-laws: Josh & Jenny Cates, and Jerimy & Becky Cates; her two grandchildren: Jade & Jordan Cates; and her brother and his wife, Stanley & Frieda Hargrove.
